On 5 January 2009, we opened our fourth Green Group as a baby\/toddler group, with eight children aged between 3 months and 2.5 years old. This group is characterized by materials and furniture that are adapted to the needs of the youngest children up to 2.5 years: the tables and chairs are very small-sized, so that children can sit down and stand up on their own.<\/p>\n
The first room of the group is dedicated to “creativity and aesthetics”. Here, children have countless possibilities to paint, do handicraft, paste, mould, handiwork and construct. Whether on the blackboard, tables, windowpanes or the floor. There should be no limits to creativity. Twice a day, all children of the four toddler groups have access to this great educational space for about an hour.<\/p>\n
The room at the back is the infant area. Here you will find a changing table, large crawling area, as well as a lot of age-appropriate play materials, with which babies can meet their needs and interests.<\/p>\n
The third room is enclosed and reserved for resting and sleeping. Here, children can always find a quiet, darkened and well-ventilated setting and use at their own pace, in order to meet their natural need for rest and sleep. For the youngest babies, a bassinet is available; older children sleep in the crib at first before transitioning later to the mattress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
